These are the second barefoot shoes we have bought for our daughter and they are much better than the others she has. The material is very comfortable and the shoes fit her perfectly. The shoes are non-slip, which means she can walk safely on slippery surfaces. They are also well ventilated. We are thinking of buying a second pair in a different colour! I have been wearing barefoot shoes for a few years now and wanted my son to get some at a relatively early age. By chance, I found out about this shop through an advertisement and I liked the shoes so much that I ordered them straight away. Now my son has worn the shoes for the first time and they are fantastic. He normally still walks a bit bumpily, but with these shoes his gait is much more secure. It's also great that you can use the shoes as slippers and also for outside. He obviously enjoys walking in these shoes! I can only recommend this shoe!

Do I need special insoles?

Insoles can help you transition from standard shoes to minimalist ones as doing that too fast when you have no idea what human feet are actually meant to be doing can cause issues.

 

They can also further insulate from the cold, and are normally still more flexible than standard thick soled shoes.

 

Our barefoot shoes are delivered with a thin sole that can be taken out if needed. Most customers wear the shoes with the insole first and after a while they take it out.

 

We also sell additional insoles in our store, in case you need another thicker insole.

Wouldn't walking with bare feet be better than barefoot shoes

Walking with natural bare feet is not as safe as walking in barefoot shoes, especially in cold weather.

 

Of course, standing around for long periods with frozen feet on a wet and cold surface is not recommended. Also, your soles are exposed to sharp objects on the street when you walk with bare feet.
